Egyptians have a reason to shout loudly... more than
ever; even more than that they shouted during the Arab uprising at Tahrir
square to oust the Mubarak regime. Because, they know they are empty barrels rolling
down in the desert hillsides.
For centuries now, they have been playing fool of us
through fictitious religious indoctrinations. We have been told to worship every
day of the month and hence the year for so and so was born, died or did
something irrelevant to our life at all.
Blindly idolizing some nameless and faceless
individuals never helped us change our life standards; neither did our beloved
country moved an inch forward. As a result we were destined to lead a destitute
life... we failed in the hands of our indoctrinators.
Our peace has been at stake. They made us fight one
another... an opportunity for them to enjoy the scene in ecstasy. At the time
our country was burning... they used to add oil to the fire. All misfortunes in
our motherland were indicators of heydays in theirs.
Now, the course of life has been changed for good.
We have started building the dam and the natural course of once source of our
laments has been diverted. We Ethiopians can witness the torch of heydays in
the horizon... indeed; the world is forced to witness as well. The sun is
rising for us...the best time to say good bay to the dark ages.
The messengers of darkness may still resist even if
they know that they have totally lost the game. They may blow trumpets
everywhere they go and attack our embassy in their once famous country. But
these can never bear them any help. We know that dogs bark only when they are
at their owner’s home. Therefore, better to ignore them and continue building
our Grand Renaissance Dam! And forget the damn idiots.
Let us not echo their shouting like the centuries
old mountains. If they are wise enough, they will cooperate with us genuinely. Otherwise,
they know they cannot do anything but shout. And even if the try, it will be a
spellbinding historical hat trick for us. We shall focus on our home works…
tomorrow is approaching faster than ever. Time to sing Sam Cook's
"Change is gonna come!"... Yes indeed.
