JIHAD?CRUSADE?

Look at the picture above and read the text. How do you feel?

I wonder if these words were really from our late PM. No matter what, the message is clear...we should spent every second of our life wisely. We should strive hard to change our dehumanizing status quo. No one of us likes our recurrent national affairs: a scourge of poverty, corruption, nepotism, favoritism, bribery,extortion...still make it impossible to move forward. Our country is one of the marshy places in the world, most of us are swamped in it.We all agree, except those who gain from our pains, that our situation must be changed. Yes we need absolute justice, equitable resource sharing and freedom of speech. 

But how? through violence? through mutual destruction and complete chaos? through terror and anti terror combat? 
A day ago I heard yet another shocking news.

"Ethiopia Breaks Up Islamist Militant Cell."

why 'Jihad'? why 'Crusade'? Both claimed to be 'holy war' against innocent civilians? Do the
so-called holy books, the Bible and the Qu'ran, preach killing one another to reclaim peace by forcing all the way? 
How come? A holy Book in one hand and a sword,these days mass destructive weapons, on the other hand can ever realize harmony and peaceful 
co-existence?
A wise man is not who throw back a stone that has been thrown at him but that one who builds a house with the stone. Here is the Amharic version.

"An eye for an eye" draconian policies will never weed out our continental problems to the root.They would rather destroy us.

What is our,Ethiopians and Africans in general, main problem right now? Isn't it poverty? Here is one saying that moves my attention. 

"POVERTY IS THE MOTHER OF ALL EVILS",
and the cause of poverty is lack of peace and absolute justice. We extravagantly wast our money buying mass destructive weapons so as to kill one another. But this money, no matter how much little it may be, would have helped us build moderate class rooms for our children.

Is this the way we should continue? Is the way we should teach our children,sisters and brothers? One day I saw the following picture posted on facebook. It is extremely deplorable that some people could think they are funny posting such destitutely dressed fellow brothers.

The next day, some obese girl reposted the picture with some modification as follows. I know her very well, she come of a handsomely wealthy family and now looks amorphous out of gorging too much food and copious amount of ice cream.She is deformed all over because of overeating.Ironically, she was trying to play fun of this beloved brother. What a shame!

I feel so sorry to repost this detestable picture but I have no words to express it clearly otherwise. It is an extremely shameful act.Really a kind of mental failure. This fellow has never chosen this to happen to him. Do you think you could laugh, say this picture were yours? How would you react if this picture were yours and sadly you were tagged on facebook? I'm sure some would kill if this happened to them.There are people who don't know how to joke. No! This shall never be considered something to laugh about. This shall never be taken as laughing stock. Put yourself in that position and imagine how you would feel. 


These all are the results of war! This is how injustice belittles us.This is how poverty makes us look like.

Let's breed heartfelt love and harmony for a peaceful co-existence! Peace be upon us all.
